PLOT OUTLINE
The central character, Jamil, marries three women without any of them realising that their husband has committed polygamy. Jamil and Latifah have been married for 12 years. When Jamil decides to marry Hasnah, he lied to Hasnah saying that Latifah has agreed to allow him to marry again due to the fact that the pair (Jamil and Latifah) does not have children. Jamil who is also working for Latifah’s father, played by Ahmad Nisfu, told his father-in-law about his marriage with Hasnah. Later, when collecting rent from his tenants, Jamil falls for one tenant’s daughter, Rohani and decides to marry the girl. With the help of his father-in-law, Jamil manages to keep his three marriages a secret from one another. However, an encounter at the hair salon causes the three wives to meet up. Rohani invited both Latifah and Hasnah to her house for tea. Later they found Rohani’s wedding picture. The three women independently befriend each other, causing Jamil to be wrapped in an ever-tightening web of lies and trickery.

Laksamana Do Re Mi (Admirals Do, Re, and Mi) is a 1972 Malaysian black and white comedy film directed by P. Ramlee. It is the third installment in the “Do Re Mi” series of comedy films, and features the trio of actors P. Ramlee, A. R. Tompel and Ibrahim Din reprising their roles as Do, Re and Mi respectively. The story is loosely based on one of stories in The Book of One Thousand and One Nights, and features the trio becoming admirals and using magic to save a faraway kingdom from ruin. This film is notable as being the last film P. Ramlee made before his death in 1973.

Synopsis

The poor trio of best friends Do, Re and Mi live in a simple treehouse in the forest, where they work together collecting, cutting and selling firewood at the local marketplace. One night they hear a voice calling for help in the forest. Although they are scared that it is a spirit trying to trick them, they follow the voice and discover that it is coming from a bamboo tree. The bamboo tree is wounded, and asks them to pull out the arrow that is stuck in it. They comply, and the bamboo transforms into a young woman, who explains that she is a supernatural spirit. She thanks them and gives them each a magical item. Do receives a magic carpet that can fly, Re receives a telescope that can see anything the viewer asks of it, and Mi receives a harmonica that can give them any wishes they want.

The trio decide to use their items to find their fortune. Re uses the telescope to find that the Sultan of their kingdom is looking for brave men to become his Admirals. The trio attend the competition that is being held to find the bravest and strongest men. Mi uses his harmonica to give the trio super strength, and they win the competition easily. Impressed by them, the Sultan makes them his Admirals.

As part of an assignment, the Admirals are sent to an ally neighbouring kingdom that is under attack by an evil man named Fasola. Do, Re and Mi uses Do’s flying carpet to travel there, where they learn that Fasola is apparently invulnerable, and has destroyed the entire kingdom except a few members of the royal court, who have to take refuge underneath a tree. Fasola has also kidnapped the Princess and is holding her prisoner.

Do, Re and Mi attack Pasola and learn that he cannot be killed with conventional weapons. But then they learn that he has a literal Achilles’ heel, which they use against him. They free the Princess, whom all three fall in love with. When Do, Re and Mi fight over her, the Princess declares that she will marry all three of them. Do, Re and Mi return home in triumph, only to learn that the Sultan has asked to marry the Princess himself. Do, Re and Mi submit to their ruler, and presumably continue on their adventures together.

SINOPSIS-Maximus adalah salah seorang jenderal yang sangat disegani oleh lawan-lawannya dan berperan penting membawa pasukan Romawi meraih kemenangan di tiap pertempuran. Karena kehebatannya, ia menjadi kesayangan Kaisar Marcus Aurelius.

Sadar kalau hidupnya tidak akan lama lagi, Marcus mengambil keputusan kontroversial dengan menyebut Maximus sebagai orang yang bakal menggantikannya. Hal ini sudah tentu membuat putra kandungnya Commodus marah besar.

Dalam keadaan gelap mata, pria licik itu membunuh sang ayah dan memerintahkan supaya Maximus dan keluarganya dihukum mati. Meski berhasil lolos dari kejaran, Maximus tidak berdaya menyelamatkan istri dan putra satu-satunya yang dibantai oleh pasukan Commodus.

Maximus akhirnya terdampar di Afrika dan menjadi budak disana. Belakangan, ia dijual untuk dijadikan seorang gladiator. Meski sudah kehilangan semuanya, pria itu masih mengingat semua kejadian yang dialaminya dan bertekad menggunakan segala cara untuk membalas dendam pada Commodus yang merupakan dalang dari semuanya.

Jalan tersebut akhirnya terbuka, Maximus dilatih oleh Proximo yang tak lain adalah mantan gladiator sehingga meraih reputasi yang terdengar hingga ke Roma. Di istananya, Commodus yang posisinya terjepit mendadak punya ide untuk menggelar pertandingan akbar antar gladiator untuk memenangkan hati rakyatnya.

Kesempatan itu sudah tentu tidak disia-siakan oleh Maximus, ia bertekad tampil sebagai juara dan membuka jati dirinya di hadapan Commodus musuh besarnya. Dalam perjalanannya, ia dibantu oleh putri Kaisar lama yang mencintainya Lucilla dan seorang senator Gracchus.

Gladiator adalah salah satu film action berlatar belakang sejarah yang juga mempunyai kualitas tidak diragukan. SINOPSIS-“The Moon Embracing The Sun” menceritakan sebuah kisah cinta antara Raja Lee Hwon dan seorang dukun wanita bernama Wol. Wol lahir dari keluarga yang mulia dan menjadi putri mahkota, tapi ia terperangkap dan menghadapi eksekusi. Akhirnya, ia hidup sebagai dukun.

Lee Hwon (Kim Soo Hyun) menjadi berubah setelah pembunuhan tunangannya, Yeon Woo.Dia tidak lagi baik hati kepada semua orang seperti sebelumnya. Dia berubah menjadi orang yang berhati dingin. Yoon Bo Gyung ( Kim Min Seo) seorang wanita yang menggantikan posisi Yeon Woo berusaha keras menarik hati Lee Hwon tapi Lee Hwon selalu tidak perduli.

Hingga suatu saat Lee hwon bertemu dengan seorang wanita yang wajahnya sangat mirip dengan tunangannya yang telah tewas . Wanita itu bernama Wol (Han Ga In ) Dan ternyata wanita itu adalah memang tunangannya yang ia kira sudah meninggal. Wol hampir meninggal dibunuh namun diselamatkan oleh seorang dukun wanita dan merawatnya.

Disisi lain ada pangeran Yan Myung (Jung Ill Woo) yang merupakan saudara tiri Lee Hwon yang juga menyukai Wol. Yan Myung selalu menghindari untuk bertengkar dan berkelahi dengan Lee Yon. Pangeran Yan Myung adalah seorang pangeran yang playboy. Sementara Lee Hwon adalah Raja berhati dingin dan Wol adalah gadis dengan hati yang kuat. Akankah Wol mengingat masa lalunya dan membalaskan dendamnya dan kembali pada cinta lamanya sang pangeran Hwon atau akan memulai hidup baru bersama Pangeran Yan Myung?

SINOPSIS-Bathory is based on the legends surrounding the life and deeds of Countess Elizabeth Bathory known as the greatest murderess in the history of mankind. Contrary to popular belief, Elizabeth Bathory was a modern Renaissance woman who ultimately fell victim to mens aspirations for power and wealth.

The film is based on the story of Elizabeth Báthory, a 16th/17th century Hungarian countess. Her story takes place in a part of the Kingdom of Hungary, now Slovakia. She is infamous for killing many young women because — according to legend — she thought that bathing in their blood would preserve her youth. Eventually the royal authorities investigated, and she was walled up in her castle, where she died four years later.

Juraj Jakubisko declared in an interview: “I decided to make this film because Countess Elizabeth Bathory is the most famous Austro-Hungarian aristocrat that lived in what is Slovakia today. She is so well known that she is also included in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s most prolific mass murderer. She supposedly murdered 650 people during her lifetime. The film is essentially a mix of genres. What is interesting about this story is that it doesn’t even lack humour and it is also a kind of crime story as there are two monks investigating what is actually going on with Bathory. But there is also political intrigue, and the drama of an intelligent woman too weak to face all the odds she had to face… It is the story of a woman, Elizabeth Bathory, who, in short, was unfortunate to have been born at the wrong time in history…”

SINOPSIS-Think The Last Samurai but instead of Tom Cruise immigrating to the land of the raising sun and learning the ways of Bushido, its a samurai that gets adopted into a foreign tribe in Thailand and become accustom to their warrior culture. The cast of Yamada: The Samurai Of Ayothaya include Seigi Ozeki in the role of actual historical figure Yamada Nagamasa and K-1 fighter Buakaw Por. Pramuk as a bare-handed fight expert. Action-wise, its a mashup between Japanese swordplay and the brutality of ancient Muay Thai.

Yamada Nagamasa, the young Samurai of Edo period, came to be a soldier in the Japanese volunteer regiment in Ayothaya. He fought against a group of Japanese who disguised themselves as the Hongsawadee soldiers and beset Ayothaya with troubles led by “Kuroda Toranaga”. Yamada was critically injured and helped by a group of Thai warriors. They, later, vowed to be “bosom friends”.
